Adam asked: When I say “small” airplanes, I’m talking about those owned by individuals for recreation, personal transportation, etc.
I really have NO idea what kind of fuel economy small planes get. If the answer varies widely based on model, feel free to give a specific example of model and fuel economy.

Just Wondering 777 asked: I’ve heard accelerating slower, keeping the RPMs low, turning off the A/C, keeping windows rolled up, and many different other things help increase fuel economy. Is this true? And what are some other techniques I can implement to get better gas mileage.

Mr. Q asked: Someone told me there was a year in the 80s when the average fuel economy of all the cars on the road was 30mpg. Is that true? Does anyone know where I can find this information, a chart perhaps? I’d also like to know what the average is this year.

I commute every day for 25 miles and 20 miles are pure interstate with a 70 mph limit. I own a 98 Nissan Altima GXE and I was wondering if there is a specific speed I should go on the interstate to save gas. I was told 50 but its hard to believe I think its too low. Any ideas?
