PLX Kiwi Saves Gas

So how does the PLX Kiwi help a driver improve their gas mileage by 20%? The basis behind the PLX Kiwi is rather simple. It is a device that simply changes the way the driver drives their car, rather than making any modifications or technological changes.

The Kiwi mainly tests the driver’s ability to optimize smoothness of driving, drag, acceleration, and deceleration. When the driver sets out on a trip, his or her driving is monitored by a “kiwi score.” The more effective the driving is in terms of saving gas, the higher the score is. With these 4 components monitored by the Kiwi’s internal computer, the driver gets into the habit of driving following the Kiwi’s style, thereby reducing the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere while saving gas at the same time. It is no secret that accelerating or decelerating too quickly can cause a useless waste of gas. Driving too fast or over the speed limit, puts a reverse drag force on the car, effectively lowering the maximized amount of gas per gallon. The Kiwi has built in computerized systems with mathematical algorithms to calculate the most efficient way of driving to save the most gas on any car. By instilling these principles in the driver’s mind, these driving skills slowly become the driver’s habits.

Besides the main monitor, the PLX Kiwi has more than 20 lessons, each designed specifically to train the driver for a different purpose. With each lesson that passes, they become more difficult as they go. At the end of the trip, the Kiwi will tally up a number of conditions, including amount of gas saved, total amount of gas used, total gallons spent on the trip, miles per gallon, and the total distance traveled.

Installing the Kiwi is easy, but you must have a car that’s 1996 and newer. The Kiwi is a perfect fit for coupes, sedans, trucks, and even SUVs. All you have to do is plug it into the OBDII port located directly under your steering column, and you’re ready to go! The PLX Kiwi can be mounted anywhere in the car, as it is small and compact like a GPS system.

So if there’s an eco-friendly gadget that saves gas while requiring next to nothing to install, it’s the PLX Kiwi.

Car Fuel Saving Tips

Whether it’s on the television, radio or the internet, one of the most talked about subjects at the moment is the fuel crisis. It’s a worrying time for many people as they are unable to fuel up their car as often and some businesses are really starting to feel the pinch due to finances. The main reasons for fuel prices being so astronomically high is because the base price of crude oil has rocketed, eventually of course these costs are passed on to the consumers. In the UK we have a high tax rate placed on fuel which also pushes the prices up; a recent study found out that Britain is one of the most expensive places in Britain to fill up. With people having enough financial worry on their shoulders as it is, it’s an added concern for fuel consumers so it’s important to remember a few tips to make those gallons last a few more miles.

The best and most sensible form of fuel saving whilst driving is to alter your driving style; some may need to change radically. It’s the simple things that make the most difference, aspects such as start slowing down much sooner for red lights and junctions rather than accelerating all way up to them, modern cars do not use any or very little fuel whilst coasting. Breaking and stopping is the biggest fuel consumer so plan the road ahead of you or just look ahead at the road and avoid harsh breaking and unnecessary stopping. If you’re a fast driver, try dropping your average speed by 5 to 10 mph just to see what a difference it can make in fuel consumption.

If you’re a person who has lot of mod cons in your car, it’s a good idea to turn them all off, do things like open the window instead of turning the air conditioning on, you can even turn off the radio which uses some of your fuel, it may be a boring ride but at least you’ll get there. Another thing to remember is weight equals higher fuel consumption, so throw out everything you don’t need out of the car, most people are surprised to find what’s still left in the boot of their car. Traffic can also be a fuel waster, if you’re at a standstill, it’s advised to turn off the engine, whilst the car is running but not moving it consumes fuel. A popular form of saving money on fuel these days is sharing cars, especially to and from work if your colleagues live around your area, this means you will only have to drive a couple of days a week instead of every day.

Now here’s a fantastic way of consuming no fuel at all, it’s called walking or cycling to your destination, if your destination is only a couple of miles away, you should stop being so lazy and get on your feet, it’s also great exercise. So if people take in these tips of not being so aggressive on the pedals, not being so wasteful and not being so lazy we could see more and more people able to afford their day to day routines.

Save Gas, Save Energy

Saving gas is not an option these days; it is a necessity. With rising prices, youve got to admit its one of the smartest things you can do for yourself these days, so you want to look at ways by which you can make it happen.

Saving gas takes common sense and practicality. If you had a good understanding of how your vehicle works, you can cut corners that will help you save. But if you think you cannot manage that, you may have to stop using the car for a while until you have had the chance to think about it. Really, thats all it takes to make the changes necessary.

I know hybrid cars are expensive, but you know they save gas. Rather than purchase an Oldsmobile from yesteryears, you can get one of those next time you trade in. On the long run, youd be saving yourself a lot of money.

I was in a third world country once and I got an on the job training in saving gas skills. There was a fuel crisis, and I saw the people driving to save gas. They turned off the engine in mid motion and let their vehicles just roll for long minutes without any engine activity. I don’t know how my eyes got back in their sockets or my tongue back in my mouth, but I do know that they popped out. But it works and now I do it all the time. I dropped from a gas tank refill everyday to a refill every three days or something. You have got to hand it to Africa, man. Those guys are like the kings of innovation.

The internet is rife with ideas and tips on how to save gas. You should surf and learn for all you are worth. You know you need all that information just as much as the other girl because you do need to get about and you do not have that much money on you as it is. So, read up and learn, and in a few weeks you may actually be good at saving gas when you drive.

If you’ve found this article interesting then please take a look at my favourite save energy website called Plug and Save which sells excellent power saving products and power-saving information that will instantly cut down your electricity bills.

Car Conversions…Driving To Save Gas

A Small Reminder on How to Save Fuel

Let’s face it.  We all know what we should be doing to save gas. My favorite is the notion that driving 55 MPH will save because engines are designed to run more efficiently at that speed. I hate people who drive 55. Besides, if you never go over 55 you will end up with a carbon buildup, which as it so happens is worse for both the environment and your car’s engine. Now excessive acceleration, is something that we all can control, and will lead to worse gas mileage. Another way to save gas is to not ride your brakes or constantly slam on them. By paying attention and looking ahead, you’ll always be able to anticipate and ease down on the brake peddle when necessary. This will also save on tire wear, which brings me to the most important thing you can do to save on gas.

Keeping your tires inflated at the manufacturers recommended level at all times will save more than you think. Your engine uses some 20% of its efforts just overcoming the resistance of tire rolling, and that percentage figure increases when the tires are under inflated, thus causing both tire wear and loss of gas mileage. Of course there are other measures you can take to save on gas. If you’re stuck in traffic or in line at your favorite burger joint, turn off the engine. Also by lightening the load whenever possibly, you can save gas as well.

Another way to get better gas mileage is to buy a car that gets great mileage. For those of you who simply can’t afford to it right now, there is always car conversion. You have probably heard that switching your car over to bio-diesel, or even electric is a viable option, however, have you heard about running your car on water? That’s right, good ol H2o. On top of that, you might even be able to increase your MPG by 30-50%.

The Hydrogen Future is Now

Water as Fuel Today
Although hydrogen cells are what most experts claim to be the fuel of the future, I have found a grassroots movement that uses
water as fuel today. You will still  have to take the occasional trip to the gas pump, because water is supplemental to your gas or diesel fuel, and 100% water cars are still on the drawing board. Moreover,  extracting energy from water to double or triple your fuel economy is VERY EASY. This is not new technology. People have been using water to gas converters in vehicles for  years.

Your Gas Guzzler Could Be Green

You Could Double Your MPG
This is proven technology. Using a simple device, you can use the electricity from your battery to separate water (H2O) into a gas known as HHO.  HHO is two parts’ Hydrogen and one part Oxygen. HHO is a supercharged gas that burns effectively and produces significant energy, greatly improving your fuel economy.  Incredibly, the waste product is water! The green car of the future just might be sitting in your driveway. Because the hydrogen is produced On-Demand, this technology is perfectly safe for you and your passengers. Imagine going from 20-25 mpg,  to 50-60 mpg or more,  and at the same time reducing your carbon foot print.

Well, these are some of  the actions you can take to save gas while driving. If you’re not thinking of buying an electric or hybrid in the near  future, you should look into HHO. Obviously, I can’t go into great detail in this article, but if I have piqued your interest, you can get all the facts of this or many other ideas on how to go green at my site   Possibly GREEN.  There you’ll find the right ways to live a greener life, including information on how to find green jobs in your area.

At 57, I consider myself to be a Jack Of All Trades And Master Of Nothing. I was a struggling actor for 25 years. During that time I learned a little about a lot of things, and would like to pass along some of that knowledge. I live in California with my beautiful wife and a menagerie of pets.

Vehicle Modification and Fuel Saving Tips

Many of our modern automobile makes have been proven fuel efficient, with these vehicles engineered to solve the problems discovered in past models. However, even old vehicles can still be classified among the numerous fuel saving cars in the industry. One way to do that is by modifying these vehicles with the use of fuel saving devices and elements like electronic ignition systems, fuel catalysts, free-flow air filters, nitrogen gas for tire inflation, and other fuel and lubricating oil additives that can lower engine friction and improve combustion.

Some old vehicle models are still equipped with a contact breaker system. Replacing it with an electronic ignition system can indirectly lower fuel consumption by ensuring that there is consistent amount of fuel burning during the combustion stroke. Compared to the old contact breaker system, the electronic system can guarantee this for a longer period of time, therefore achieving better fuel economy. Installing fuel catalysts into or between the fuel tank and the engine also helps lower fuel consumption by speeding up the chemical reaction during combustion and making the process complete, ensuring that maximum energy is released and that nothing is wasted. Another is replacing old filters with free-flow air filters that can provide better filtration, resulting in more efficient and reduced wear in the engine. Inflating tires with nitrogen gas also keeps tire walls inflated but not permeated, protecting the rims from the corrosion that compressed air can bring. As under-inflated tires usually result in higher fuel consumption, inflating them with nitrogen is not only a protective but a fuel saving move as well. Fuel and lubricating oil additives are also available for the same reason. These are compounds that keep engine friction low and improve combustion operation when added to fuel and oil. When using them, it is important to check the instructions and additive compositions as they can very well damage the catalytic converter when improperly used.

Although all of these can help old vehicles become as efficient as newer ones, there are still products that are merely advertising hype. Most of them claim so much more than what they can actually offer. Going for proven fuel saving products in the market is your best option, although trying new devices from reputed brands is also safe.
